Separation Support Session
A focused 75-minute session to slow the noise, understand what is happening, and create a clear and practical roadmap for your next steps.
If you are thinking about separating, newly separated, still living under the same roof, or lying awake at night trying to work out what happens next — this session is for you.
Separation can feel like every part of your life is suddenly asking for an answer at once. And when your nervous system is overwhelmed, even the smallest next step can feel too big.
You are not alone.
This is for you if you are asking
What this session is
This is a practical support session for the early, messy or uncertain stage of separation. Together, we talk through what is happening in your real life — emotionally, practically, relationally, and where relevant, as a parent.
What we may cover
This session is shaped around you. Depending on what is happening, we may work through:
This is not about solving everything in one session.
It is about helping you leave with more clarity, more direction, and a plan you can actually follow.
What you walk away with
Nikki Parkinson
Divorce & Separation Hub
Why work with Nikki?
I have spent over two decades working in and around the family law system. And I have moved through my own separation.
I know that separation is not just a legal process. It is emotional. It is practical. It is financial. It is relational. It affects your children, your home, your work, your body, and your sense of self.
My role is to help you untangle what is happening, understand your options, prepare for the next steps, and move through separation with more clarity, confidence and steadiness.
You do not need to have everything worked out before you book. You just need somewhere steady to start.

Common questions
Is this the same as therapy or counselling?
No. This is a coaching and support session, not therapy. We are focused on practical next steps, clarity, and helping you feel steadier and more prepared — not on processing the past or providing psychological treatment. If you need therapeutic support, Nikki can help you think through what is available.
Is this legal advice?
No. Nikki is not your lawyer and this session does not constitute legal advice. What it does is help you understand the landscape, know what questions to ask, and feel prepared before you see a lawyer — so you can use that time (and money) more effectively.
What if I'm not sure I'm ready to separate?
This session is not about pushing you into a decision. Many people come not knowing what they want — only knowing that they are overwhelmed and need clarity. You can come with questions, with a messy situation, or not knowing what to ask at all. That is what this session is for.
I'm still living with my former partner. Can I still book?
Yes. Many people come to this session while still living together — navigating the period before physically separating is one of the most confusing and emotionally draining phases. This session can help you think through how to handle that situation practically and calmly.
How does the 7-day follow-up support work?
After your session, you have 7 days to follow up with questions as they come up — by email or message. This gives you a safety net as you start to act on your plan. You are not left alone the moment the session ends.
What if I need more support after the session?
The Separation Support Session is designed as a starting point. At the end of your session, Nikki will give you a clear picture of what kind of ongoing support might help — whether that is continued coaching, specialist referrals, or other resources. There is no pressure to commit to anything.
You just need somewhere steady to start. Book your Separation Support Session and leave with a clearer plan for what comes next.
